Tourism conglomerate starts activity in Israel

One of world's largest tourism corporations, specializing in business travel, conference management, expands into Israel

The world's third-largest tourism corporation, BCD Travel, is launching operations in Israel.
The company is considered the world leader in business travel and conference management with operations in about 100 countries. Its operations totaled $12 billion in 2006.
"The Israeli market has great business potential for us," said John A Fentener van Vlissingen, BCD's chairman. "Many international companies operate in Israel, making Israel an important business center in the Middle East and in the world.
"We believe that our operations in Israel, along with our global operations, will help promote Israel as a country of tourism and will optimally fulfill our customers' requirements," he added.
Israeli BTC Business Travel Center Ltd, owned by B Gaon Holdings, Keter Plastic Ltd. and the Ofer Brothers Group, was appointed its exclusive representative in Israel.
