Interior Minister Ronnie Bar-On was forced to leave the funeral of Shirel Feldman, who was killed by a Qassam Monday, after residents crowded around him, cursing and slamming the government.

Shortly after the funeral, Bar-On told Ynet, "A handful of angry residents will not interrupt the government's activities for Sderot and its concern for the residents of town."

"People tried using this funeral for political purposes, and I regret that," he added.

Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh also visited Sderot Tuesday, and spoke with the residents about their hard feelings following Friedman's death.

"War should be waged with the head, not with the heart," said Sneh in response to cries calling for an intensive military operation in Gaza.

"We do what we have to do, in the correct degree, and we see the correct results. There's no magical solution, as people erroneously think. It's not as if we suddenly undertake some ground operation, everything will be solved.

"There is no quick fix. During combat, we must tell the public the whole truth – and there is no fast solution. We are foiling Qassam production and transport, hitting launching cells and watching the entire system.

"In the end, it will stop. We are stronger, we have better intelligence. We will triumph in the end," said Sneh.
