Hamas plot against IDF thwarted
It has now been cleared for publication that the Shin Bet exposed a plan designed by Hamas members in the Hebron area to carry out an attack against IDF troops on the trans-Judea highway.
According to security sources Hamas members planted several explosives alongside the highway and intended to detonate one of the bombs in order to draw emergency services and security forces to the scene before detonating the additional bombs. The Shin Bet operation to thwart the attack led to the arrest of three of those involved in the plot. (Efrat Weiss)
