Palestinian sources in Jenin reported that an IDF force killed a member of the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, Fatah's military wing, on Saturday night.
The IDF said that during the operation, Palestinian gunmen opened fire and hurled an explosive device at the soldiers. There were no injuries among the troops.
Military sources confirmed that over the night soldiers operating in the West Bank city shot an armed Palestinian and hit him.

The soldiers, who spotted an armed Palestinian, opened fire at him and hit him.
Al-Aqsa's commander in Jenin, Zakaria Zubeidi, said in response to the incident that his people would "continue the resistance."
On Saturday, an IDF force killed a Palestinian in Nablus. Palestinians reported that the man was a civilian and that other people were injured in the incident, but military officials made it clear that the man shot was a gunman. According to one report, three Palestinians were wounded.
Earlier, soldiers fired at an armed Palestinian spotted in the Ein Beit Ilma refugee camp in the West Bank city and apparently injured him. There were no injuries among the soldiers in both incidents.
