The 'tent city' built by billionaire Arcadi Gaydamak in Tel Aviv will be closed Monday after housing about 1,000 Sderot residents.
"Now it is easier to find a vacancy in hotels, and I am hereby declaring that the emergency solution in the form of a tent city is no longer needed," Gaydamak said. "My personal investment in the situation was not only in order to express solidarity with other Jews at their time of need, but to operate from a humanitarian place." (Yael Branovsky)
