Palestinians in north Gaza fired seven mortars toward the western Negev Monday afternoon. One shell landed near a moshav while the rest landed by the Erez Crossing.
There were no reports of injuries or damage. The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ armed wing, claimed responsibility for the barrage.
At around noon a Qassam rocket landed in an open area not far from Kibbutz Ein Hashlosha. No injuries were reported.
On Sunday two more mortar shells were fired from the northern Gaza Strip toward the Israeli community of Netiv Ha'asara.
On of the shells damaged greenhouses in the community and the other landed in an open field. No one was injured.
“The attacks on us our becoming routine,” Netiv Ha'asara’s security coordinator said. “The mortar fire disrupts the work at the greenhouses, so the economic damage is considerable.”
