PA parliament chair says only Hamas government is legal
Dr Ahmad Bahar, the acting head of the Palestinian Legislative Council, said that as far as the parliament was concerned, the only recognized government was the unity government, "that has now boiled down to a Hamas government in Gaza."
According to Bahar, the Fayyad government is a conspiracy against the Palestinian people. He called upon the international community not to double-deal the Palestinians: "Everyone is subject to law and I call on Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas) to reconsider his decisions." (Ali Waked)
