Hamas official says Abbas is a liar

Hamas' representative in Lebanon has labeled President Mahmoud Abbas a liar after the latter accused Hamas of attacking national symbols and seeking to establish an independent state in the Gaza Strip.
Speaking to Al-Jazeera TV Ousama Hamdan said: "We protected the national institutions and symbols, and we reject the idea of a temporary state that Abou Mazen (Abbas) is trying to attribute to us." (Ali Waked)
