Lebanon army shells camp after soldier killed

Lebanese troops shelled a Palestinian refugee camp in north Lebanon on Saturday after al Qaeda-inspired fighters shot dead a soldier and wounded three others.

Security sources said Fatah al-Islam snipers hit the four soldiers at Nahr al-Bared camp. The death was the first military fatality since the Lebanese army declared an end to major combat on Thursday. (Reuters)
