Farfour the mouse may have changed into Nahoul the bee, but the message remains the same on a Hamas TV children's program: the path of martyrdom is the route to follow.

Nahoul recently made his debut on the Pioneers of Tomorrow program on the al-Aqsa TV station - the same program which hosted Farfour, the Mickey Mouse-like character who encouraged children to aspire for "martyrdom" and world domination for Islam. In the show, Farfour was killed by an Israeli official.

Video footage of Nahoul the bee has been translated and made available by MEMRI, and can be viewed on MEMRI's website here.

The program's child presenter, Saraa is shown talking to the bee, which is suspended from the air.

"Who are you, and where did you come from?" asked Saraa.

"I'm Nahoul, Farfour's cousin," the bee replied. "I want to continue in the path of Farfour – the path of Islam, of heroism, of martyrdom, and of the mujahideen (holy warriors). Me and my friends will follow in the footsteps of Farfour. We will take revenge upon the enemies of Allah, the killer of the prophets and of the innocent children, until we liberate Al-Aqsa from their impurity. We place our trust in Allah," Nahoul said.

"Welcome, Nahoul," said Saraa.
