Hamas rejected US President George W. Bush's call to hold an international peace conference in the fall.
"We condemn the American conference, aimed to serve the interests of the Zionist enemy," said Hamas spokesman Ismail Radwan. "Such a conference will lead to increased pressure on (PA President Mahmoud) Abbas and will create an even deeper rift between Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank." (AFP)
