The high-end German department store chain Kaufhof will hold an "Israel Week" in August, during which products and fruits from Israel will be put on display in the chain's 28 major branches across the country.
The project was initiated and organized by the Israel Export and International Institute, and will be launched on August 8.

One of the companies scheduled to participate in the event is Tari Bari, which markets peeled, cut and ready-to-eat fruits. During the Israel Week, the company will sell two products that traditionally represent the Land of Israel, prickly pears (Sabras) and pomegranates.
Shlomo Korech, CEO of Niv Agriculture Ltd, which markets the fruits, said that Israel Week was not only an important contribution to Israel's image abroad, but also provided a chance for manufacturers to examine the possibility of continuing to work in Germany.
