'Peace Valley' project ceremony takes place in Jericho

A ceremony launching the "Peace Valley" project took place in Jericho Wednesday evening with the participation of Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat, Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Aso and Jordanian Foreign Minister Abdul-Ilah Khatib.


The Japanese government is funding the "Peace Valley" project, which will cost tens of millions of dollars and construct an agricultural industrial area south of Jericho and an airport on the Jordanian side of the border. (Ronny Sofer)
