4 killed in Galilee road accidents in 24 hours

A woman was killed and two people were critically and seriously injured early Friday in a road accident in the Galilee.

 

A police investigation revealed that the car the three were traveling in overturned and that other vehicles were not involved in the accident.

The accident took place at around 3 am. A commercial vehicle traveling on the road between Carmiel and Kfar Rama overturned for an unknown reason. One of the passengers was killed on the spot, a man was critically injured, and another woman was seriously hurt.

 

Magen David Adom crews attended to the injured and evacuated them to the Western Galilee Hospital in Nahariya.

 

According to Eli Levy-Malah, a paramedic who arrived at the scene of the accident, the three passengers, who he believed were in their 30s, were lying in a field near the car.

 

Series of fatal accidents

Three residents of the Deir Hanna local council in the Lower Galilee were killed Thursday in an accident on Road 805, after their car hit the back of a semi-trailer truck traveling on the opposite lane.

 

Three of the car passengers were injured, one critically and two moderately. The truck driver was lightly hurt.

 

Ten people have been killed in road accidents in the north in the past two weeks.
