Businessman Meir Dor's Baran Group announced Wednesday that its German subsidiary won a $20 million infrastructure contract with Berlin's new airport.

Baran, a global provider of engineering, technology and construction solutions, was hired to install the airport's electricity and communications infrastructure, as part of the building consortium managing the construction project.

Baran's main partners in the $70 million project will be France's AREVA and Germany's ELPRO. Baran is scheduled to launch its end of the project by October 2007.

The Baran Group's market value in the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange is estimated at $169 million. Its German airport project is scheduled to be completed by mid 2010.
