Olmert: Gaza operation will not halt rocket fire

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Monday that a large-scale military operation in the Gaza Strip would not guarantee a halt to rocket attacks.
"We are looking into operations against the Hamas regime in order to influence the various sides to stop firing rockets," Olmert told the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. (Amnon Meranda)
