A diplomatic official within the Arab League from Cairo rejected the media reports asserting that Israeli planes attacked targets in Syria earlier this month.
"These are just fantasies and part of the wartime psychology being waged in the Middle East," the source told the London-based a-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper. "Talk of Israel violating Syria's airspace is all mean to rehabilitate Israel's deterrence after the war in Lebanon." (Roee Nahmias)
