Haim and Vered are pronounced man and wife after putting scandalous affair behind them
The harassment case involving the young soldier girl was forgotten. Even the flu that gripped the prime minister magically cleared up as he broke out in dance with the new bride.
Haim Ramon wedded his girlfriend of four years Vered Rivlin Sharon at an elegant banquet at Stoa, a banqueting venue located in Gaash, near Herzliya on Wednesday evening.
The groom wore a black suit with a pale blue tie and the bride appeared with her hair down wearing an ivory dress designed especially for the occasion by Mira Zvilinger.
The couple stood under the hupah in a nearby forest at exactly 8:45 pm to the sound of "You are my tomorrow" by Shimon Buskila. The bride was blessed by Rabbi Arieh Deri, Ramon's friend and Rabbi Ralberg. Ehud Olmert and Avraham Burg also blessed the couple. The wedding ceremony was over in about half an hour and the guests moved on to the lavishly set out culinary part of the evening.
The guest list was also impressive. President Shimon Peres showed up with his aid Yona Bar Tal, Lord Michael Levy, Tony Blair's right-hand man, Dov Weisglass, Sylvan Shalom and Judy Nir Moses Shalom, Shula Zaken and her husband and many others from Israel's polical establishment.
Members of the media were also present and took an active part on the dance floor.
The bride's siblings blessed the newlyweds, and recounted what a good man Haim Ramon is and how he has become a member of the family. The family atmosphere was further enhanced by the presence of Ramons' former wife Pnina who turned up with their children Dor and Noy.
