Las Vegas is getting ready to get rid of the old to make way for the new. Early Tuesday morning, Israeli tycoons Yitzhak Tshuva and Nochi Dankner are scheduled to initiate the controlled implosion of the famed New Frontier Hotel which is to be replaced by the first 'Israeli' hotel in the adult fantasyland: The Plaza.

The Plaza will feature luxurious, roomy apartments, entertainment and shopping areas and is set to be the largest, most extravagant complex on the Vegas strip.

Most of the details have yet to be released, but it was made known to Yedioth Ahronoth that the owners plan to set a new standard in opulence in the desert city.

The project currently claims an eight-billion dollar price tag which will cover the expenses of 5,000 spacious hotel rooms, apartments for sale, a casino, a shopping center and dining and entertainment areas.

The complex is scheduled to open in four years time and will be based on the design of the well-known Plaza Hotel in New York City.

So, how are the Israeli moguls planning to take down the renowned New Frontier? A few minutes before midnight Monday night, Vegas police will close down the roads around the hotel and establishments on the strip will be requested to seal their entrances so that dust and other hazardous materials do not enter their buildings after the implosion.

Then, at 2:30 am on the dot, if all goes according to plan, Dankner and Tshuva will press a button and initiate a serious of explosives networks that will implode the mythological Frontier Hotel in a controlled fashion. The implosion will be accompanied by fireworks and it will broadcast live.

Las Vegas authorities decided on the timing of the event in order to interfere as little as possible with the bustling nightlife on the strip that attracts tourists from all over the world.
