Three Qassam rockets were fired from the northern Gaza Strip at Sderot and the western Negev Thursday. One of the rockets landed near a potato packing house in a Negev industrial area, causing some damage.
Four people were treated for shock and one woman was evacuated to the hospital for further treatment.
Shortly after the attack, IDF helicopters fired a missile at a Qassam launching cell in Beit Lahiya.
According to Palestinian sources, two gunmen were killed and three other were injured in the strike.
One of the dead gunmen was identified as a member of al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed wing of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah faction. The affiliation of the second militant was not immediately known.
Earlier Thursday, a rocket landed near a house in Sderot. "I heard a loud blast and when I came out of the fortified room I saw that the Qassam landed right next to the house," said Shlomo Buhadana, a town resident.
"We were very fortunate no one was hurt, because usually children play soccer out here or ride their bicycle. I don't even want to think what could have happened if there were kids here," he added.
