Ahmadinejad to write series of books

Iranian president announces release of several books in which he will articulate his opinions on the Holocaust, nuclear weapons and Islam. Meanwhile, a new study indicates American public highly skeptical of new US intel report on Iran - 67% believe Iran still a threat

The majority of Americans do not believe the new report co-authored by US spy agencies which claims Iran is no longer pursuing the development of a nuclear program. The poll was released this weekend by Rasmussen Reports.

The survey found that only 18% of American voters believe that Iran has halted its nuclear weapons program.

The Rasmussen Reports survey also found that 67% of American voters believe that Iran remains a threat to the national security of the United States. Only 19% disagree while 14% are unsure.

Fifty-nine percent of those asked said they believe that the United States should continue to apply sanctions against Iran.

Forty-seven percent said they believe it is "very likely" that Iran will develop nuclear weapons in the future and another 34% believe Iran is "somewhat likely" to do so.

Twenty-nine percent of liberal voters believe that Iran has stopped its weapons program but 54% disagree. On the opposite end of the spectrum - only 8% of conservatives believe Iran has stopped while 81% disagree with the new intelligence assessment.

Ahmadinejad's softer side

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad – known for his defiant declarations – has decided to show the world his softer side. According to the Iran Students Correspondents Association (ISCA) news agency, the president will soon publish a number of books in which he espouses his view of the world.

The books - titled Nuclear Knowledge, The Diplomacy of the President's Letters, The Holocaust according to Ahmadinejad and The Prophet in the President's Words - will be published by the President's Office in Tehran over the course of the next few months.

It appears that after his lengthy one-sided correspondences with such international figures as US President George W. Bush, former French President Jacque Chirac and the pope, President Ahmadinejad's PR team has decided the time has come to compile a book containing these exchanges in "The Diplomacy."

The "Nuclear Knowledge" book, which the president is apparently in the process of completing, includes Ahmadinejad's best speeches on the Iranian nuclear program since he was elected in June 2005.

"The Holocaust according to Ahmadinejad" will, as the name suggests, include the president's opinions and reflections on the matter.

Yet another book the Iranian leader is planning on cranking out is titled 'The Prophet in the President's Words' -  which will showcase Ahmadinejad's thoughts on Islam's founder.
