Shalom Hanoch, Galila Ron-Feder and Ohad Naharin to take part in NY Israeli festival

NYC is set to take on a decidedly Israeli flavor this February and March. Sponsored by the New York Jewish Community Center(JCC), 12 Israeli artists and ensembles are set to perform in the Big Apple as part of the “Israel Non-Stop” cultural festival.

Among the many renowned participants in this festival will be singer Shalom Hanoch in his “Exit” show, The Batsheva Dance Company performing Ohad Naharin’s “Deca-Dance," and the Herzliya Theater Ensemble and the Haifa Theater presenting the play “Black Rain”.

Also taking part in this festival are actor Moti Katz with his one-man-show entitled “An Actor’s Kitchen," which deals with the back-stage antics in the theater world, the Herzliya Theater Ensemble who will hold an open meeting with the audience following their play, author Galila Ron- Feder-Amit who will discuss her books with a teenage audience, and Israeli hip-hoppers Coolooloosh fronted by rapped Rebel Sun.

The Israeli film “Aviva Ahuvati” (Aviva My Love) directed by Shemi Zarhin will also be screened as part of this festival.
