Grad missile lands in Ashkelon neighborhood

After bloody day in Gaza, Grad missile, 4 Qassam rockets, 5 mortar rounds fired into Israel. Israeli farmers trying to recover tractors abandoned in Ein Hashlosha sniper attack fired upon by Gaza gunmen

A Grad missile fired from northern Gaza Tuesday landed near a tennis court in a southern Ashkelon neighborhood. There were no reports of injuries or damage in the incident.

 

A few hours later, two Qassam rockets fired from the northern Gaza Strip landed in an open field outside Sdeort. No injuries or property damage were reported.

 

In a separate incident, laborers from the Ein Hashlosha kibbutz, the site of a deadly sniper attack on Tuesday morning, were fired upon as they attempted to retrieve tractors abandoned in a kibbutz field following this morning's attack.

 

Eight kibbutz residents arrived to the fields, but as soon as they approached the equipment, they were fired upon from gunmen across the border.

 

Carlos Andres Chavez, a 20-year-old volunteer from Ecuador, was killed after he was shot by a Palestinian sniper from within the Gaza Strip as he was working in the fields of the Ein Hashlosha kibbutz located near the coastal territory. 

 

A total of four Qassam rockets and five mortar rounds were fired into Israel from the coastal territory since Tuesday morning.

 

Two mortar rounds fired in the early afternoon landed in an open field south of Ashkelon.

The four Qassam rockets landed in a fields belonging to kibbutzim in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council.

 

Three additional mortar rounds landed in open fields in the western Negev.
