Hamas leader calls for new border arrangement
Gaza's Hamas prime minister called Wednesday for an urgent meeting with his Fatah rivals and with the Egyptian government to work out a new shared arrangement for Gaza's border crossings.
Ismail Haniyeh spoke as tens of thousands of Gazans poured into the Egyptian border town of Rafah after breaching the frontier, rushing to buy goods made scarce by an Israeli blockade of the impoverished coastal territory. (AP)
