Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said that the Palestinians will not agree to a situation in which the responsibility over the state of affairs in the Gaza Strip will be assigned to Egypt.
"The Israeli side is exploiting the situation in the Strip in order to hold a sword to our throats, but we made clear that Palestinian President (Mahmoud Abbas) has no control over the Gaza Strip," Erekat said at a press conference in Ramallah. (Ali Waked)
