Defense officials: Israel, Egypt make progress in terms of Gaza border
Senior defense officials told Ynet on Wednesday that Israel and Egypt have made "dramatic progress in terms of closing the breached border at the Rafah crossing," following talks held between Amos Gilad, director of policy and political-military affairs at Defense Ministry, and senior government officials in Cairo.
According to the Egyptians, there are now between 25,000 and 30,000 Palestinians in Sinai, and they are due to return to the Gaza Strip by the beginning of next week. The Egyptians also announced that they were working to recluse the breaches created by Hamas in the Rafah fence. (Roni Sofer)
