Chief of staff instructs alert level to be raised on northern border

IDF Chief of Staff, Maj. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, instructed the alert level to be raised on the ground and in the air in order to protect the northern border and Israeli interests.

The move comes following the assassination of arch terrorist and Hizbullah military commander Imad Mugniyah on Tuesday night in Damascus. (Hanan Greenberg)
