The annual tradition continues. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Israeli TV Magazine has published its ‘top 20’ list of eligible Israeli bachelors for 2008.

Launched in 2006, the first Pnai Plus ‘eligible bachelor’ list was headed by Israeli actress and singer Rona-Lee. In 2007, Ran Danker, who appeared with Rona-Lee in the popular TV show ‘Hashir Shelanu’, took home top bachelor honors.

This year, however, the quintessential Israeli diva, Rita, was selected Israel’s hottest bachelorette. At the age of 46, and after recently having split from her husband of 20 years Rami Kleinstein, it appears that Rita is now officially Israel’s hottest celebrity dating commodity.

2008, in general, is shaping up to be the year of the eligible divorcée. After a year replete with celeb splits, including that of famous singing duo Orna and Moshe Datz, as well as Rita and Rami Kleinstein, no less than five recent divorcees can now be found on this year’s list of eligible bachelors. They include model Galit Gutman, singer Orna Datz and Sigal Shachmon, Rami Kleinstein, and last—but certainly not least—his former spouse Rita.

The Israeli version of Survivor, Hisardut, has also spawned its fair share of heartthrobs and eye candy. Beautiful beekeeper Noam Tor, and fellow survivor Marina Kabishar, also found themselves on the Pnai Plus list.

Rita, 2008’s most eligible bachelorette, stated that she “is very amused by her win.” “All my friends and family are falling on the floor laughing,” said the singer. “I have yet to receive a title like ‘eligible bachelorette’, and really don’t know how to react to it just yet. Needless to say I am very flattered.”

The Pnai Plus “top 20 bachelors” edition hits newsstands on February 14th, Valentine’s Day. It also offers readers tips on where their favorite celebs can be found, who their ex-partners are, and what are their favorite hobbies.
