Senior Labor official: If Shas leaves government, Labor likely will too
A senior Labor party member close to Defense Minister Ehud Barak, said in closed-door talks Sunday that if the Shas Party withdraws from the government, then the Labor Party most likely will as well.
The Labor official noted that should Shas cede from the government, the Labor Party will not remain in a minority government, and will “not be part of an Arab supported Left-wing government.” (Attila Somfalvi)
