IDF soldier in Bilin

Leave our troops alone
Ongoing self-righteous media attacks on IDF soldiers who protect us must end
I recently read about an “American tourist” who sustained moderate wounds in the West Bank village of Bilin. A tourist in Bilin? I wondered. Indeed, the Palestinian village is known as a great tourist site mentioned in any tourist guide, a rare architectural jewel that combines a unique style of illegal construction with drainage pits in delicate renaissance style. The village is also renowned for the dozens of museum that display the technological-cultural achievements boasted by the Palestinians in the thousands of years of their existence. And still, what was the tourist doing there?
When I looked into it, I discovered that this “tourist” has a certain fondness for extreme sports. He does what tourists all across the world do: Stands in front of armed soldiers and provokes them. Such provocateur can be sure of himself. As long as the media is around, he enjoys impunity and IDF troops would be unable to respond to the spits and curses. This incident, which took place in the midst of the weekly farce in Bil’in, symbolizes for me the loss of Jewish morality that does not turn the other cheek. It emphasizes our national lack of desire to exist.
Recently we’ve been bombarded with “incriminating” information regarding our sons-thugs. Leftist arrows have been particularly directed at the Kfir Brigade, and for good reason. This brigade, which mostly operated in Judea and Samaria, prevents our Palestinian neighbors from making a comeback with the spectacular terror attacks of the pre-operation Defensive Shield era and turning us into bleeding pieces of flesh. It turns out that various “peace groups,” some of them Israeli, do everything they can to exhaust the brigade’s soldiers.
Most of us interested in surviving
It is a very common sight, for example, to find herds comprised of about three sheep and 20 English-speaking shepherds in the Mount Hebron area, equipped with top-notch photography and video equipment. It also happens that such herd of “peace activists” in sheep’s skin descends upon an army post in order to provoke IDF troops and film their response. From there, it’s a short road to television screens and the usual lamentations over our soldiers’ immorality.
The self-righteous interest in brigade troops who exposed their butts is a representative example. The photographs of those butts turned into headlines that led to the dismissal of two soldiers, who were reportedly also sent to prison.
Indeed, the soldiers should have not conducted themselves that way. Such exposure of buttocks hurts the feelings of the Palestinians, who as we know are a very gentle people. There is no doubt that the victims of that incident will require long years of intensive psychotherapy in order to forget the difficult sights they were exposed to. And still, perhaps it would be worthwhile to subject media personnel to a little test; a test whereby a brick would be slammed against their head while they drive – a daily occurrence on Samaria’s roads. After that, I would expose what is left of them to the butt of a corporal from the Kfir Brigade. At the end of the experiment I would arrive at the rehabilitation center to see what hurt them more.
Hence, I have a request for the media: Gets your unclean hands off the Kfir Brigade. True, you are very interested in high rating, but surprisingly enough most of us are mostly interested in surviving. As the Kfir Brigade assists us, the citizens, on this matter, please try to disturb them as little as possible while they go about their mission. Thanks.
