Nicaragua reestablishes diplomatic ties with Colombia

Nicaragua is reestablishing diplomatic ties with Colombia a day after breaking them off, Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega said on Friday at a regional summit.

Ortega spoke after presidents from Ecuador and Colombia agreed they had resolved a week-long diplomatic crisis over a Colombian military raid against guerrillas hiding in Ecuador.  (Reuters
