As Passover approaches, the travel industry gears up for the hot tourism season.

American company Delta Airlines will launch Tuesday its new daily service between Tel Aviv and New York, which joins the already existing Tel Aviv-Atlanta line.

The first flight is set to land in Israel at 1:55 pm Tuesday and fly back to JFK Airport in New York at 12:20 am Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Israeli airliner El Al has announced it would introduce a fourth daily flight to New York as of the end of March. The flight will depart from Tel Aviv at noon and arrive in New York at 8:30 pm.

The new service will increase the number of El Al's weekly direct flights to New York to 22.

El Al has also announced it would add two weekly flights to Los Angeles as of the end of March and throughout the summer, bringing the number of weekly direct flights to this destination to five.
