Following an IDF strike which
killed the members of the terror cell responsible for the Qassam rocket attack which led to the amputation of her son’s leg,
Iris Tuito stated Saturday “I always wanted the IDF to get revenge on those responsible in Gaza. They did a good job.”
Tuito’s son, eight-year-old Osher, lost his leg following an injury sustained by a rocket attack on his home town of Sdeort. He remains hospitalized at the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer.

Embattled town leader visits Tuito boys injured in Qassam rocket attack at Tel Aviv hospital; says there is a justified discontentment amongst Sderot residents. Hundreds of protestors take to streets in protest, blocking major route in Tel Aviv and calling for Olmert's resignation in Jerusalem
“This is hardly enough for what they( the terrorists) did to us. They deserve a far harsher blow,” said Tuito, also noting that family members told Osher
about the IDF strike and that he “he is very glad that the terrorists were ‘taken out’ and hopes that their names and memories would be blotted out.”
Tuito, however, said that she does worry that these IDF killings would lead to “retaliatory attacks on Sderot , and that terror groups would target the city following these assassinations.”
Rami Tuito, Osher’s brother who was also injured in the rocket attack on Sderot, stated that he congratulates the IDF on their successful operation, and that he hopes they keep it up, but that “three dead terrorists is hardly enough….they were killed but more will take their place. ”
No one who targets Israel's civilians is safe
Rami Tuito also stated that he doesn’t think about the fact that these are the people that hurt him, because unlike them he is not looking for revenge. The three Islamic Jihad operatives were shot in the northern Gaza Strip during a joint Shin Bet and IDF operation. The Israeli Air Force shot at the three gunmen, and Palestinian sources then confirmed that they had been killed.
The IDF maintained that the three terrorists, who were armed with Qassam rockets, were en route to fire them at the western Negev. “We will get to all operatives just like we go to them. Whoever targets Israeli civilians will never be safe,” said a security official.
Osher Tuito left the hospital’s intensive care unit this week and will be transferred to a surgical ward once his condition improves further. His brother, Rami, stated that he is also getting better little by little. “I am feeling better today, I am improving little by little,” he said.
