A Palestinian gunman was killed Friday evening in an exchange of fire with IDF soldiers near the border fence in the northern Gaza Strip.
Lookouts spotted the terrorist near the fence and alerted a Givati Brigade forces. An exchange of fire erupted in the area, during which the terrorist hurled a grenade at the force. The soldiers fired back and killed him. There were no injuries among the troops.

Military sources noted that the terror organizations continue to try and carry out terror attacks against Israeli targets on the border fence. According to estimates, the terrorist planned an attack against the force patrolling the area.

Friday morning and another was injured in exchanges of fire with IDF soldiers in southern Gaza. The army confirmed that a military force had entered the Strip in the Kissufim area and clashed with gunmen.
Despite the drop in the number of rockets fired from the Gaza Strip since Operation Warm Winter in
the beginning of the month, the Palestinian continue to fire Qassam rockets and mortar shells towards Israel on a daily basis.
Three rockets were fired at the western Negev in the late hours of Friday morning. One of the rockets landed within a kibbutz in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council, causing damage to a nursery. There were no injuries among the children.
