Mystery Strike
Asahi Shimbun newspaper reports prime minister told his Japanese counterpart that IDF strike last September targeted facility built with North Korea's help
According to the Haaretz newspaper report Sunday, US officials might disclose details of the September 6 strike later this month during congressional hearings. Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev would not comment on the report.
Israel has maintained almost total silence since the attack, which Syria said hit an unused military installation.
Foreign reports have claimed that Israel targeted a nuclear installation Syria was building with North Korean assistance. Damascus denies having an undeclared atomic program, and North Korea says it was not involved in any such project.
