Barak to Livini: Don't meddle in security affairs

A fierce debate broke out between Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni during a cabinet meeting Sunday. “Someone who isn’t knowledgeable in security affairs shouldn’t meddle in them,” said Barak to Livni, to which she replied “the same holds true for political affairs.”
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and defense Minister Barak stated that they do not acknowledge a cease fire with Hamas, and that IDF operations in Gaza will continue. Shin bet director Yuval Diskin conversely stated that there is only a cease fire of sorts.(Roni Sofer)
