Report: Top judge shot dead in southern Russia

Gunmen shot dead on Sunday the deputy chairman of the top court in Russia's troubled region of Ingushetia, bordering Chechnya, news agency RIA reported.
"Unidentified attackers shot and killed Khasan Yandiyev who was travelling in his ... car in the town of Karabulak," RIA quoted a regional police source as saying. "The judge died instantly of sustained wounds." RIA said the gunmen disappeared after the attack. It said an investigation was underway. Regional officials were not immediately available for comment.(Reuters)
