Court grants Islamic Movement permission to hold Nakba rally

The Nazareth District Court on Thursday granted the Islamic Movement to hold a ceremony marking the 60th anniversary of the Nakba in the northern Israeli village of Kafr Kanna.

The court was called to rule on the matter after both the village council and the Ministry of Interior refused to allow the service claiming it was of a political nature. Kamal Al-Khateb of the Islamic Movement welcomed the decision. (Sharon Roffe-Ofir)
