Olmert: Hamas responsible for escalation in Gaza

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert commented Sunday on the escalating situation in the Gaza Strip, saying he holds Hamas responsible for the rocket fire on the western Negev.

"Either things quiet down or Israel will apply its full force to make them quiet down," he said. "We hold Hamas responsible for everything that happened in Gaza and it will be held accountable. We have no intention of putting up with the situation." (Roni Sofer)
