MK Orlev: Stop Azmi Bishara’s monthly payments

Head of the National Union-NRP, MK Zevulun Orlev, called on Knesset Director-General Avi Balashnikov Tuesday demanding he order the immediate stop the monthly pension payments given to former MK Azmi Bishara.
MK Orlev noted that “it has been brought to my attention that since Bishara fled the country, the Knesset still pays him a monthly salary. It is unreasonable that someone suspected of treason and who escaped from the law to an enemy country will continue benefiting from tax-payers money." (Amnon Meranda)
