Palestinians fired two Qassam rockets mid-day Friday towards the western Negev, causing no injuries. However, one of the rockets landed in an area of greenhouses near Sderot, causing fire to a nearby wheat field. The second rocket landed in an open area and caused no harm.
The rocket barrage came a few hours after IDF soldiers exchanged fire in two different areas in the Gaza Strip. One of the soldiers sustained moderate wounds after an anti-tank missile was fired toward the vehicle he was riding in during activity against terror infrastructure in the southern Strip. The IAF struck the gunmen in response, killing one of them.
