Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said a short while before leaving for his US visit that he does not support Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz as a candidate for chairman of the Kadima Party.
Party officials told Ynet that Olmert is opposed to the holding of primary elections in the near future, and that he plans to act against it. They emphasized that Olmert and Mofaz are not cooperating together, and the prime minister does not support Mofaz's candidacy in elections that he opposes. (Attila Somfalvi)
