American rockers Down, which includes Pantera's Phil Anselmo and former bassist Rex Brown will arrive in Israel this July for a performanc an the famed Tel Aviv Barby club.

Tickets for the July 29th gig are presently priced at NIS 160 ($48). Thursday afternoon will see the first 300 tickets sold on special sale at the Metal Shop in Tel Aviv.
Producer Lior Kamali, who brought such bands as Paradise Lost, Evergrey and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club to Israel, is the man behind bringing Down down to Israel.
Aside from Anselmo and Brown, the band consists of additional leading musicians from the world of rock and heavy metal such as Pepper Keenan from Corrosion of Conformity, Kirk Windstein of Crowbar and veteran rocker Jimmy Bower.
The group’s members began working together in 1991, while palying for other bands. They have produced three albums to date and their last one, Over the Under, released in 2007.
The band will begin its European tour on July 10th and will be joined by Metallica for most of its shows there. Down will arrive in Israel after performing in Turkey.
