Assad says Syria working to achieve peace entailing return to 1967 borders
Syrian President Bashar Assad has reiterated his country's commitment to a peace agreement with Israel in exchange for a return to the 1967 borders.
"Syria is working to achieve peace based on an international decision, which will entail an Israeli withdrawal to the June 4 1967 borders," Assad said in an interview with a Syrian newspaper. (AFP)
