Olmert: Israel to release Palestinian prisoners as goodwill gesture to PA

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met Sunday with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in Paris. The two, along with the Israeli and Syrian negotiation teams were said to discuss the progress made in that avenue.

Earlier Sunday, Olmert said Israel would release additional Palestinian prisoners as a goodwill gesture to the Palestinians, regardless of any gestures made as part of the future prisoner exchange deals. (Roni Sofer, Paris)
