Iraq: Female suicide bomber kills at least 8 US fighters, wounds 24

Iraqi police said at least eight people have been killed in a female suicide bombing against a checkpoint manned by US-allied Sunni guards northeast of Baghdad.

A police officer who read the report says the woman blew herself up about 8:30 P.M. Thursday near the so-called awakening council checkpoint in central Baqouba. (AP)
