A 70-year-old Kiryat Ono resident was arrested Monday for allegedly committing indecent acts against a 10-year-old girl who would visit the synagogue he taught Torah in with her father. The suspect said during his investigation that the girl was the one touching him and asked to sit in his lap.

The mother immediately approached the Mesubim police station, where the police had the girl meet with the special minor investigating officer, during which she repeated her version of the incident.
The Mesubim police station is now searching for other girls who may have fallen victim to the teacher’s acts. The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court remanded the man for three days.
Another 48-year-old child molester was arrested in Ashdod this week for allegedly molesting children and teens. According to suspicions, some of the acts were committed during prayer times. The suspect, David Malul, denied the allegations.
The police investigation was launched after a young woman arrived at the city’s police station complaining that her brother told her that during Shabbat prayers, one of the men sitting next to him placed his hand on his crotch a number of times. She also said that her brother claimed the man had sexually harassed and molested him.
