BEIJING - President Shimon Peres arrived
for an official visit in China Wednesday. Peres is scheduled to meet Chinese President Hu Jintao, as well as hold a series of meeting with the heads of the Chinese financial market and prominent local businessmen.
Peres, who will be attending the Olympic Games' opening ceremony, is also scheduled to meet the Israeli Olympic team,
which is staying in Beijing's Olympic village.
Peres is expected to stay in Beijing for four days, during which he is also scheduled to meet China's leading newspaper editors and grant interviews to two of China's leading dailies.
