VIDEO - Police arrested Saturday a 47-year-old Israeli man who hurled empty bottles in the direction of a security guard at the Russian embassy in Tel Aviv in protest of the war in Georgia. Video courtesy of Infolive.tv photos: Yaron Brener Embassy employees notified the Lev Tel Aviv police station, and officers dispatched to the scene located the suspect, a resident of Jerusalem, and took him in for questioning. The initial investigation into the incident revealed that the man, a new immigrant from Russia, made the trip from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, collected several empty bottles and hurled them at the embassy in protest of the Russian invasion of Georgia. The man has been released on bail, but police are continuing the investigation against him. Last week several dozen Israelis of Georgian descent staged a demonstration outside the Russian embassy in Tel Aviv to protest the war.
