Police fear for life of missing girl

Police appeal to public for help in finding 4-year old Rose of Netanya, who went went missing in May, 2008, due to fear for her life. Sources say case is one of most shocking ever to occur in Israel, but details are currently under strict gag order

Israel Police have been searching for a 4-year old girl who went missing from her home in Netanya three months ago. After a number of weeks of searching, on Sunday the police decided to appeal to the public for assistance in solving the case due to the fact that her life may be in danger.

 


Rose. Police fear for her life

 

The girl, who answers to the name Rose, has been missing since May, 2008. Central District Police are investigating the circumstances of her disappearance under a strict gag order, which was minimized on Sunday in order to make the appeal to the public.

 

Police say the case is one of the more shocking and disturbing cases seen in Israel as of yet, but are strictly prohibited from discussing the matter with the press.

 

The search for Rose is currently sweeping a number of cities in Israel. A police official told Ynet, "Information about Rose's disappearance was received less than two weeks ago, and since then we have invested a lot of effort, investigative and economical, in the search for Rose. Many detectives and officers are working towards finding her."

 

Police are working round the clock on this case, and have asked the public to keep an eye out as well. Rose is four years old, thin, with blue eyes and dirty blond hair, and stands 80 cm tall. Anyone holding any information that could lead to her finding is asked to call 08-9279466 or 089279575, or the nearest police station.
